about

IV: A gust of fiery wind stings his eyes, assaults his throat. Terrified beasts rush past him as he emerges into the clearing. Other creatures he has long watched over lay in withered, twisting shapes upon the blackened forest floor. A titan wall of flame closes around him and devours the aeon-old wood. The Moose fights back and protects the ones he can - using himself as a bridge for the creatures to cross to safety at the roaring rivers’ edge. The flames burn deeply and reach the river where they are vanquished on the roaring banks. A sense of doom falls as the Moose stares out over the blackened ruin of his lands.

lyrics

The leaves above curl and burst as the flames jet from below
Bellows of scorching winds sting his eyes and assault his throat.
Where once-proud oaks once proudly stood thousands of years,
A dismal plain of barren wastes gives new meaning to fear.

A sea rose before him
And all the world became undone
The ‘morrow brings the emptiness
Of the ones he loved.

See the light and flickering beauty
In a wretched world of rot.
Gaze long enough and you’ll find
That hope is not far gone...

And no matter what becomes
He must see that life blossoms still
As the flames spout and devour
He must see those reach the light.
